when someone violates your trust, what do you do?

do you:

a) forgive and forget, then move on as if nothing happened

or

b) you learn not to trust this person anymore

I think last time learnt in church, that u try and do (a)..

but you can't exactly just assume it didn't happen though. i guess you have to tell the person kua.. and then like.. make sure they don't do it again? if they do, then you should do (b).. cause obviously it's silly to keep trusting someone who's obviously not trustworthy.. that's what i remember from one of the bible study lessons i think..
